In just a month after kicking off the 2021 Annual Appeal's in-pew weekend, 5,643 donors throughout the Diocese of Cleveland gave over $1 million, securing an additional $1 million from an anonymous donor who proposed a matching gift challenge.
"People in the pews at their parish, people watching livestreamed Masses and others responding to social media posts came together under this matching gift umbrella to answer the call to 'Love Your Neighbor,' which is the theme of this year's Catholic Charities Appeal," said Patrick Grace, executive director of the Catholic Community Foundation.
