As the government shutdown continues, the coming weeks will be especially challenging for individuals, families, and communities already facing food insecurity and limited resources.
In response, Catholic Charities is strengthening its food assistance network and rallying supporters to help ensure no neighbor goes without. Together, we’re working to make sure families have the nourishment and stability they can count on during this difficult time.

Meals Pantry Financial Assistance
Our Emergency Assistance Services sites and programs collaborate with local organizations, public and private agencies, and religious institutions to ensure the basic needs of the most vulnerable in our communities are met.
We work to provide food, shelter, and clothing to individuals in need, and currently offer support in Ashland, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Summit and Wayne counties. Click the button below view our programs and services.

We provide mini-grants to residents of Ashland, Cuyahoga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Summit, and Wayne counties who are experiencing temporary hardship brought on by unforeseen circumstances. Limited funds are available and applicants must qualify for services.

Men's Overnight Emergency Shelter
Our shelter at St. Elizabeth Center in Lorain serves adult men who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. We offer year-round shelter for 50 men, focusing on supporting those with special needs.
