After nearly a year of work, Matt Talbot for Women II is ready to accept the first clients at the new residential treatment facility on the grounds of Transfiguration Parish in Lakewood. Previously, the building was a convent for the Notre Dame sisters who served at the adjacent SS. Cyril and Methodius School and in other missions throughout the diocese.
A ribbon-cutting and blessing for the new facility took place on March 15. In attendance were local, county and diocesan officials who had a hand in launching the center. It offers 14 additional beds for women struggling with addiction, as well... read more
