Earlier this year, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland named Terrance Ray as the new director of the Marketing and Communication Department. This appointment comes after the departure of Bethany Ream, who served as director since 2017.
The Marketing and Communication Department seeks to promote Catholic Charities' good works through strategic and innovative communication strategies while establishing the organization as a thought leader and first choice for service within the communities we serve.
"The marketing team is a small but mighty and impactful group," Ray said. "Since joining the team in 2018, we have accomplished a lot, and it's just the beginning. We have a team of highly capable and creative individuals whose strengths and abilities continue to bring forth new opportunities for impact within the organization."
Since joining Catholic Charities in 2015, Ray has served as an outreach counselor, case manager and most recently, digital marketing specialist. He brings to this position a unique understanding of the needs of Catholic Charities' programs from his time in direct service, allowing him to create impactful solutions when supporting programmatic needs.
"I am excited for this new journey, and I look forward to building on our momentum and taking the organization and team to new heights," Ray said.
Ray holds a bachelor's in psychology from Bowling Green State University, as well as a master's degree in health and risk communication from Ashland University.
He is also a member of Lambda Pi Eta, National Communication Association Honor Society, The National Society of Leadership and Success, and graduate of the Neighborhood Leadership Development Program, a program of The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation.
