Welcome CYO Athletic Directors!

Athletic directors are critical to the management of CYO programs at the member and Diocesan level.

We look forward to working with you as a partner in the planning, management and execution of CYO athletic programs. Congratulations on being appointed by your member administrator to lead your athletic program according to the standards of the CYO Charter & Bylaws. You join a most distinguished group of women and men who have built and grown the CYO legacy for over eighty-four years. Now is your time to add to that legacy for those who follow.

Athletic Directors are the primary contact person between the member organization (parishes and schools), young people and families, and CYO Administration. You are an essential link to further our CYO mission and values instrumental in creating a positive experience for the young athletes of the Diocese of Cleveland.

Please read Article 7 of the CYO Charter & Bylaws for a detailed job description for the athletic director and other CYO leaders. CYO has developed a Member Athletic Director Operations Manual that will guide you through the many steps necessary to become an excellent Athletic Director. We look forward to partnering with you in service to the youth and families entrusted to our care.
