Many youth who enter children & family services face barriers when finding and obtaining employment in later life. Our Youth Employment Mentoring program in Lorain County works to change that.
Youth Employment Mentoring offers one-on-one and group mentoring for youth ages 14 to 22 who referred by Lorain County Children Services. The goal of our program is to help youth foster the skills necessary to gain and maintain employment. Topics covered in our program include:
Youth will also have the opportunity to create an employment portfolio to showcase their qualifications and professional skills to potential employers. Upon completing the program, individual portfolios will include:
