Track & Field

Track & Field practices begin in February, followed by regular season meets beginning in March and lasting to May.

The program concludes with championship tournaments in late May. Participants may compete in any of the following events:

• 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, or 1600m races
• 4x100m or 4x200m relay
• 200m hurdles
• High jump, long jump or standing jump
• Shot put or discus

The Track & Field Training Manual contains an overview of a CYO meet as well as the specific roles of the officials and staff. All documents can be found on our Documents & Files page.

Sanctioned Events Tournaments

CYO Members, Parishes, Parish Organizations, Catholic high schools, or Catholic colleges are permitted to sponsor tournaments or competitions with the sanctioning of CYO.
