For adults (18+) with developmental disabilities, finding an appropriate opportunity for a vacation can be a challenge. Since the 1960s, Camp Christopher's Discovery Camp has strived to provide the perfect setting for a little get-away.
Staff who reside in the cabins with our Discovery Campers receive all required training of Home and Community Based Waiver Providers for the State of Ohio. The ratio for the program is one staff person for every five campers in attendance.
Campers stay in fully accessible, dormitory-style cabins segregated by gender. Each cabin features a wheelchair ramp, bunk beds, and one in-cabin restroom. Although some terrain on the campgrounds is rough, the facility includes walkways to and from key areas.
