Catholic Charities Corporation Administrative Offices:
7911 Detroit AvenueThe annual fundraising luncheon has been a major event for over 50 years. This event features a style show, silent auction, raffle and Gramma’s Kitchen bake sale.
The proceeds from this fundraiser have helped Catholic Charities Summit County programs including counseling, Camp Christopher, Emergency Assistance Services, Community Hot Meals and the Recovery Outreach programs.
Every Christmas, the Women’s Board sponsors this program to provide personal gifts, gift cards and essential taxable items to the clients of Catholic Charities. The Women’s Board members “adopt” 25-30 families who use Catholic Charities Summit County services. The Women’s Board works with Catholic Charities to deliver these Christmas gifts to the thankful families.
Camp provides a world of adventure in nature, community and spirit. It offers a variety of programs and activities for all ages, including persons with disabilities.
The Women's Board Volunteers at the annual Fall Festival at Camp Christopher every October!
The Women’s Board gives support to the Scholarship Fund from the annual luncheon proceeds and through donations from the community.
The Camp Christopher Fund is always ready to accept your donation in memory of a loved one, in honor of a birthday, anniversary of a special friend, or other special occasions deserving thoughtful tribute.

This arm of the Women’s Board joined with The Christ Child Society of Akron in 1972. Members make receiving blankets and burp cloths for layettes that are then completed by Christ Child. In addition, the Women’s Board volunteers knit, and crochet scarves, hats, and afghans to be given to the Bags of Love and Hot Meals programs.
Neither sewing nor knitting experience is needed. No obligation to come to every meeting. There is something for everyone!
We eat our bagged lunches or order out. Christ Child provides coffee and water. If you wish to knit or crochet, yarn will be available, or you may bring your own.
When: 9:30 a.m. – noon on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of September through April.
Where: The Christ Child Building, 2115 Lindbergh Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44223.
Everyone is welcome to join us! Please consider coming to our next meeting.
The Women’s Board participates in fall craft shows at St. Matthew’s School and The Village of St. Edward. Our information booth is used as a tool to encourage visitors to learn more about the Women’s Board and our mission. In addition, we sell hats and scarves made by our Sewing Ladies.
In December members go Christmas caroling at The Village of St. Edward. The residents and our members enjoy spreading good cheer and laughter while joyfully singing through the halls.
