Volunteer with Catholic Charities Summit County and impact lives every day.
Our Summit County volunteers provide help every day for those in need. Their time, talents and resources are essential to the success of many of our programs. From sharing a laugh with an older adult at our Adult Day Services, to assisting a child with developmental disabilities at Camp Christopher, our volunteers help us continue our mission by creating hope for those who need it most.

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities within Summit County for individuals, families and groups of all faiths and ages. We work with volunteers to find opportunities that match their skills, talents and interests.

Community Hot Meals
Give back to your community by helping serve hot meals to those in need. Volunteers are needed to help with preparation, serving, and clean up with our lunch and dinner programs. Prior experience in meal preparation for large groups is helpful, but not required. Meals are served at two area locations:
Help keep our food pantry stocked, organized, and utilized. Volunteers also answer incoming calls for assistance and help with the distribution of food bags to clients in need. Our pantry is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and is located at Blessed Trinity Parish.
Become a day camp aid and assist youths ages 5-21 with developmental disabilities. Volunteers are needed over the course of eight weeks, from late June through early August to act as camper companions and assist with all activities under the supervision of staff. Time commitment is flexible but volunteers must be willing to commit to a four hour shift.
As a volunteer program aid, you'll work with a staff activity leader and offer support and companionship to participants with developmental disabilities, who range from ages 16 to older adults. This program gives caregivers a respite weekend each month while providing away-from-home activities that are fun, safe and enriching for participants. Volunteers are needed for four-hour shifts during the weekend. Weekend Respite begins on Fridays at 5 p.m. and runs until noon on Sundays. Overnight options are available at Camp Christopher.
Women’s Auxiliary Board
The Women's Board of Catholic Charities Summit County believes in the following mission: to live the teachings of Jesus Christ by sharing labor, time and gifts with our brothers and sisters in need. Volunteers board members meet monthly from September through May and work on service projects and fundraisers, like our Spring Style Show & Luncheon and holiday Bags of Love. We're always looking for new members who believe in our mission!
