7911 Detroit AvenueGetting Ahead seeks to empower those experiencing poverty by providing them with the tools needed to begin their path toward self-sufficiency.
This program offers additional support for those with minimal means or those who are living paycheck to paycheck to become self-sufficient.
The Getting Ahead program seeks to empower those experiencing poverty by supplying each individual with the concepts, tools, and relationships so that they may begin their path toward self-sufficiency. Through participation in a 16-week class, individuals learn about budgeting and other financial best practices and become connected to community resources that help them progress forward. Program participants are eligible to receive a $25 gift card to assist with transportation, career and employment guidance, and a host of other resources to help them along in their journey.
The Getting Ahead program is funded by the Geagua County Job & Family Services and Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland.
