CLEVELAND – TUESDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2025 – Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland, today announced the St. Ignatius Early Learning Program site located at 10205 Lorain Ave. in Cleveland will close at the end of December 2025. The decision follows careful evaluation of enrollment and organizational resources.
“Catholic Charities remains deeply committed to providing high-quality early learning experiences for children across our region,” said President & CEO Jim Mullen. “After reviewing enrollment trends, funding and available resources, we made the difficult decision to consolidate our services. This will allow us to strengthen and sustain our other early learning sites, where demand for our early childhood education services continues to grow.”
As part of this transition, two classrooms at the St. Ignatius Early Learning Program site will close over the next two weeks, and children will be consolidated into the remaining three classrooms. The remaining classrooms will continue operating through December 2025, or until enrollment decreases naturally.
Catholic Charities is committed to supporting families during this transition and will assist with referrals to other high-quality Catholic Charities Early Learning Program sites in the community.
