Join us at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Parish (164 W Market St, Akron, OH 44303) for a Pilgrimage of Hope for Creation—a sacred opportunity to pray for the grace to encounter Christ in Creation and renew our relationships with God, the Earth, and one another.
Participants will prayerfully walk from St. Vincent de Paul to Elizabeth Park, in the nearby Cascade Village neighborhood, and back, approximately 1.5 miles round-trip. The Pilgrimage includes some uneven sidewalks and an uphill return route. The Pilgrimage includes a brief opening prayer service and a brief prayer service at Elizabeth Park. The Pilgrimage concludes indoors back at St. Vincent with time for fellowship and refreshments in the parish hall.
For those attending, be sure to dress appropriately for the weather, wear sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable walking shoes, and bring a refillable water bottle. Please consider bringing a small bag to pick up small litter along the Pilgrimage route.
