Pilgrimage of Hope For Creation | Avon Lake

Join us at the Lorain County Metroparks Kopf Family Reservation for a Pilgrimage of Hope for Creation—a sacred opportunity to pray for the grace to encounter Christ in Creation and renew our relationships with God, the Earth, and one another. Participants should park at the Avon Lake Public Library (32649 Electric Boulevard) along the south end of the parking lot beside the Reservation; additional street parking and parking at Avon Lake High School are also available.

As appropriate, participants may bring leashed or caged pets for a blessing at the Metroparks Reservation entrance near the Avon Lake Public Library parking lot. We will prayerfully walk approximately 2 miles while being led in praying the rosary for all creation.

All pets participating in the blessing and the rosary pilgrimage must be leashed or caged. If your pet is excessively noisy or does not tolerate other animals well, please refrain from participating in the rosary pilgrimage; however, you and your pet may still join in the blessing. We ask that you also please come prepared to clean up after your pet if you are participating in the pilgrimage—no RSVP is required.
