Wayne County Board of Developmental Disabilities
The Wayne County Board of DD operates the programs in support of Early Intervention, Ida Sue School, Service and Support Administration, Family Services, Community Employment and Transportation Services. These programs assist children and adults with developmental disabilities to live, work and play within their communities.

Wayne County Board of DD aims to provide choice and options based on individual and family preferences enabling a quality of life satisfying to the individual in learning, living, working, and participation in the community.

Wayne County Probate & Juvenile Court
The Wayne County Probate Court is a division of the Courts of Common Pleas in Ohio. Probate Court has exclusive jurisdiction over certain special types of cases: estates, guardianships of incompetent persons and minors, name changes of adults and minors, and adoptions. The Probate Court also issues marriage licenses.

Juvenile Court has jurisdiction over legal issues involving people under the age of eighteen. Cases regarding delinquency, traffic, and unruly charges are heard and decided by the Juvenile Court. Custody, visitation and support matters for children whose parents were not married also come under the jurisdiction of the Juvenile Court.

The Holmes County Board of Developmental Disabilities' mission is to support people with developmental disabilities in living meaningful lives. Their vision is to see people with developmental disabilities play, learn, work, and live as valued community members.


Holmes County Juvenile Court

The Holmes County Juvenile Court utilizes various programs to assure public safety, consequences for inappropriate behavior, rehabilitation, and structure to the lives of youth and families served by the Court. The goal of the Court is the reduce recidivism, provide assistance to victims of crime, and respond to antisocial behaviors and needs of youth and families in our community.

The Court also has the purpose to serve not only delinquent and unruly youth but also the needs of both dependent and neglected children in providing for their care, protection, mental, and physical development and well-being.

Ohio Children's Trust Fund

The Ohio Children's Trust Fund invests in strong communities, healthy families, and safe children works to prevent child abuse and neglect. It offers resources for parents and professionals to gain deeper understandings of how to provide safe and healthy environments for children.
