Catholic Charities Corporation Administrative Offices:

Every day at work can look different for Michelle. She is part of many collaborative community groups. She attends many meetings that take up most of her day, but she is always happy to help her staff when they need information, resources, or “a set of extra hands”. Recently, her time has been devoted to filling open positions. She sorts through applications and resumes, talks with applicants on the phone, zoom, or in person, and then trains those who join the team. She also takes time to write proposals to secure funding, complete reports to funders, document services provided, and more.
Her favorite part of her job is working for an organization that takes its mission seriously. Her greatest accomplishment has been starting a food shelf at her location in response to President and CEO Patrick Gareau’s challenge to “do something at each site”. Her site currently serves about 200 people per month with its food shelf. From this, they’ve developed relationships with other agencies and now work together to help serve their community. Some people who have used the food shelf in the past now donate to help support the initiative! Along with the food shelf, Michelle’s office is also 1 of 3 local nonprofits awarded a free garden plot, allowing Michelle and her team to offer fresh produce to those who use the food shelf.
Thank you, Michelle, for your continued dedication and support of the mission of Catholic Charities!
