Strive Mentoring Program

Eligibility

For Teens: Children and Teens are referred by the Wayne County Juvenile Court.

For Perspective Strive Mentors:

• Mentors must be at least 22 years of age or older
• Document mentoring sessions
• Maintain communication with Strive Mentoring Program Coordinator
• Participate in quarterly trainings
• Ensure the use of proper boundaries, ethical practices and youth safety
• Maintain appropriate car insurance as set to the program minimum requirements
• Meet with mentee twice a month for a minimum of four (4) hours a month (ex. mentoring time can be once a week, for 1 hour). Included in the four hours is a monthly group outing for two hours, which will be coordinated and paid for by Catholic Charities.
