7911 Detroit AvenueOur shelter at St. Elizabeth Center in Lorain serves adult men who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. We offer year-round shelter for 50 men, focusing on supporting those with special needs.
Homelessness can be brought on by a variety of factors: addiction, job loss, mental or physical disability, financial insecurity, or relationship issues.
Regardless of your circumstances, Catholic Charities is here to help you back on your feet.
Our temporary overnight shelter located at St. Elizabeth Center serves adult men in Lorain County who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Open seven days a week from 5:00 p.m. to 7:45 a.m., we provide year-round shelter for up to 50 men, with a focus on supporting those with the following special needs:
Residents at St. Elizabeth Center have access to the following amenities and services during their stay:
Case management services are also available to all residents at St. Elizabeth Center.
Our staff helps individuals identify and address their unique needs: from finding employment or enrolling in benefits, addressing medical and mental health concerns, and accessing stable housing.
The ultimate goal of our program is to help each man secure stable housing and improve self-sufficiency.
