Tendon Manufacturing has been searching for ways to hire more people, and one way they have been able to succeed is by hiring refugees with manufacturing experience.
Sales Manager Michael Gordon Jr. explains to thefabricator.com that his father and godfather started the company to find a way to help people.
Late last year Gordon reached out to Catholic Charities to help get refugees who would be interested in working for his company.
“Once I talked to Catholic Charities about it, they started sending me more people. Once the flood gate was open, it was open. We work to ensure we have all the proper documentation [for the refugees to start working], but many times, they come over to the U.S. with all that documentation in hand.” Gordon tells thefabricator.com.
Catholic Charities Migration and Refugee Services was able to bring Gordon about 10 Ukrainian employees along with many who applied on their own to Tendon Manufacturing
Thank you, Michael Gordon Jr. and the staff at Migration and Refugee Services for your hard work!
