Catholic Charities’ Peer Support Specialist, Jonathan Clemente will receive the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Greater Cleveland’s Scott Adamson Memorial Peer Award on May 3rd, 2023.
The NAMI will be hosting its Annual Meeting and Award Ceremony at the Holiday Inn in Independence where Clemente will be accepting his award in person during this event.
This ceremony will honor Clemente and 7 other individuals and organizations for their “outstanding achievements in promoting and providing mental health services to people affected by mental health conditions in the year 2022” (namigreatercleveland.org).
“I need to say that it has been an honor to walk alongside those in our community who are recovering from their First Episode of Psychosis (FEP). As an individual who has experienced psychosis firsthand, I understand that so much goes into someone being willing to receive treatment…” Clemente said, “…to be formally recognized by NAMI, a national mental health organization, for the efforts we have made in the region means a tremendous amount to me.”
Congratulations Jonathan for your outstanding work!
