On Saturday, November 5th, Catholic Charities Fatima Family Center hosted its annual Fatima Breakfast to raise money for its programs.
During this celebration, breakfast was provided and guests had the option to stay at the center for the remainder of the program or take their meals home to watch the live stream.
For in-person attendees, tables and chairs were set up in the gym with a live band performance.
Among the guests, Councilman Steve Conwell, his wife Councilwoman Yvonne Conwell, and Councilwoman Stephanie Howse made an appearance in support of the Fatima Family Center.
Councilman Conwell also surprised attendees by showing off his drumming skills with the band for a song.
Throughout the band’s set, Director of the Fatima Family Center LaJean Ray auctioned off items including gift card baskets, a king-size bed comforter set, a Chromebook, and more!
The Conwells, Ray, and Councilwoman Howse all gave speeches throughout the event discussing their personal experience with the center and why they support its cause.
The program concluded with Ray honoring staff and community partners for their hard work and dedication to the Fatima Family Center.
Overall this event helped raise over $23,000 that will go towards expanding current programs and creating new ones.
