The perils of the current times persist for our nation, especially for our minority brothers and sisters, as we endure yet another wound to the spirit of who we are as a nation. Our collective hearts ache for the families and neighbors of those lost to violence and hate crimes over the last week, especially in Buffalo, New York, and Laguna Woods, California.
We invite everyone to join us in a Pause for Prayer on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 10:00 am for one minute or longer, in remembrance of the lives lost and the persons wounded in the hate crimes perpetrated in Buffalo and Laguna Woods over this past weekend. Our Pause for Prayer will not include a gathering but should be a collective pause for a moment of silence or of prayer, with our hearts uplifted on behalf of our nation and all those directly suffering due to recent events.
We are hopeful that you can join us in praying for God’s peace between us and God’s protection over us, now and always.
