Catholic Charities Announces New Chief Administrative Officer

CLEVELAND, OHIO, September 17, 2021 – Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland announced Wednesday that Andrea Harris has been named the new Chief Administrative Officer of the organization. An experienced leader within Catholic Charities already, Harris departs her role as Senior Director of Human Resources to serve in the new position.

In this role, Harris will act as chief bridge-builder, system educator, and administrative process architect to the workforce and service entities in Catholic Charities' eight-county service area. Harris will provide strategic operational oversight for assigned administrative services teams and collaborate with other executive leaders to ensure effective management, coordination, and execution of administrative operations and compliance throughout our organization's operations.

Harris, a six-year employee of Catholic Charities, brings a wealth of experience to the position, including extensive leadership of for-profit and nonprofit operations and administration. Harris began her leadership career as a U.S Marine, serving as an aircraft electrician working on A6E jets. She later became the non-commissioned officer in charge of the squadron's training & development department while also serving as her unit's substance abuse control officer. Harris would serve in leadership positions at Spurlin Industries, U.S Foodservice's Atlanta Division, and BakerRipley, the largest nonprofit organization in the Houston metro area, before joining Catholic Charities in 2015.
