7911 Detroit AvenuePatricia (Pattie) Geiser, MSW, LISW-S, has been with Catholic Charities for ten years. Currently, she is the clinical director of two counties, Wayne and Ashland; in this role, she analyzes current practices, recommends and implements policy and procedural changes to maintain standards and provide services, in accordance with CARF, OhioMHAS, Medicaid and insurance systems. Additionally, she maintains an active caseload, and assists in the hiring and career development of new employees and clinical interns. As clinical director, she sees her role
as one of support, collaboration, and advocacy. Each day she strives to “help the helpers” as they meet the unique needs of their community.
Not only does Pattie provide clinical leadership for a dynamic team, she also uses her problem-solving skills as she pivots to collaborate and meet the needs of the community. She successfully collaborated with the Wayne County Juvenile Court and Department of Youth Services to help develop the Problem Sexual Behavior (PSB) program; working with all collaborators to overcome barriers, keep kids safe, and engaged. She also participates in internal and external committees, representing Wayne and Ashland counties and regional service in strategic behavioral health committees.
Pattie began her tenure at Catholic Charities as a therapist in the Wayne Office where she provided counseling services to outpatient mental health clients with assorted psychological disorders, intellectual abilities, and functioning levels. Before working at Catholic Charities, she held several positions at The Christian Children’s Home of Ohio with steadily increasing responsibilities: community psychiatric supportive treatment, residential therapist, and lead residential therapist.
She earned her Masters from the University of Akron and her BA from Mount Vernon Nazarene College. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and holds a Trauma Informed Care- Level 3 Trauma Competent certificate.
