7911 Detroit AvenueMary Ann brings decades of experience and expertise to CYO. The St. Vincent High School grad played volleyball, basketball and ran track. She earned her Education degree from Kent State University while playing basketball and softball. Mary Ann completed her master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Akron. She earned All-American honors as a softball player and was inducted into the Akron Amateur Softball Hall of Fame in 1997.
Mary Ann coached girl’s basketball at Archbishop Hoban High School from 1979-1990 where she led the team to the school's first and only OHSAA Division II State Basketball title in 1988. She became the first softball coach in the school’s history where she won five OHSAA Division II State Softball titles in a ten-year period. Over thirty-two of her student-athletes were awarded college scholarships. Mary Ann has been a presenter at the University of Notre Dame Play Like A Champion Today annual national leadership conference and has been a presenter at the University of Notre Dame’s CUSHWA CENTER’S National Symposium on CYO Sports.
