Angela Ivancic, LISW-S, chief clinical officer at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland, is known for her integrity, reliability, and leadership. In her current position, Angela oversees all behavioral health programming throughout the eight counties of the Diocese of Cleveland. She is a talented team builder who engages her staff by promoting their strengths and is dedicated to providing opportunities for their professional development.

With a proven record as an accomplished director, Angela is always looking to expand the breadth of Catholic Charities’ clinical services. She began her career at Catholic Charities in 2013 as director of outpatient mental health/ FIRST. Her responsibilities steadily increased to senior director of regional services. In that role, she spearheaded the expansion of substance use disorder services throughout the diocese.

Angela works closely with training and performance improvement committees to ensure consistency of clinical documentation and reporting practices. In addition to ensuring the practical applications of the clinical standards for all licensing, certifying, and accrediting bodies at Catholic Charities, she surveys CARF accredited sites across the United States, ensuring a standard of excellence in providing behavioral health services.

Angela has over 30 years of experience in behavioral health services working with both the adult and adolescent populations with severe and persistent mental illness. Prior to Catholic Charities, she worked with managed care. She designed, implemented, and directed the first Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program in Cuyahoga County to de-institutionalize long-term patients from the State Psychiatric Hospital system. Protecting the vulnerable, she created wraparound services to successfully transition over 100 people from state institutions to supportive group homes. Such experiences have allowed her to bring her innovative nature to Catholic Charities.

She holds both a MSSA in Social Service Administration from Case Western Reserve (1994) and a BA in psychology, focusing on aging studies, from Baldwin Wallace University (1988).
