Catholic Charities Corporation Administrative Offices:
7911 Detroit AvenueAmber Bundy, LPCC-S, CCM, Director, Catholic Charities of Lorain County, came to Catholic Charities in 2019. As director, she coordinates sites with inter-related activities for optimum efficiency and economy. Amber evaluates current policies, procedures, and practices related to site services, which allows her to create and implement alternative methods for work improvement. After assessing the services in Lorain Country, she was able to secure funding from the Mental Health Board, contributing to the growth of our Lorain county site which now serves 60% more clients than when she became director— not including the clients in six school districts.
Amber enjoys helping people build on their strengths and overcome barriers. Most notably, she and her team procured permanent supportive housing units for 40 chronically unhoused men. She is continuously working to expand services to meet the needs of both individual clients and Lorain County. Driving forces for Amber are the mission of Catholic Charities and, “feeling I make a difference to the people I work with.”
As part of her role, Amber works to develop and adhere to annual site budget plans, prepares funding proposals for implementation of services, and supervises staff and interns based on site service provisions. She takes joy in mentoring and coaching staff to facilitate their career path and development.
Sensitive to the needs of the community, as program development manager in Ashland, Wayne, Medina, and Lorain Counties, Amber oversaw clinicians and services to ensure that the activities of the programs were consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland. While in her role (2019-2021), she implemented and expanded mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services, providing clinical oversight to these programs. Amber participates in the Behavioral Health Manual Committee, the CARF Survey Preparation and the Behavioral Health Strategic Planning Committees.
Prior to joining Catholic Charities, Amber held several leadership positions with Centene, Bridgeway, Inc., TCN Behavioral Health Services, and Eastway Corporation. She directed managed care and non-profit case management programs for best-in-class delivery across the country.
Amber holds a MSEd, specializing in community counseling from the University of Dayton and a BA in Psychology, with a minor in sociology from Bowling Green State University. Additionally, she is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisory designation (LPCC-S) and a Certified Case Manager Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC).
