7911 Detroit AvenueFredy Robles, chief program officer, leads the overall programmatic work occurring throughout eight counties of the Diocese of Cleveland and tirelessly works to maximize our impact and serve the whole person. As a member of the executive team, he sets the strategic direction and ensures alignment of operations for all programs and services, including 120 programs at 37 sites with 800 employees, with a total operating budget of $70M. Always with an eye to the continuing success of Catholic Charities, Fredy provides strategic direction and recommends budgets promoting growth and long-term sustainability. He is a skilled leader and consummate collaborator, always acting from a place of kindness and humility.
Fredy joined Catholic Charities in 2003 as a program coordinator. In 2006, he joined New Directions for Life Counseling, just as the opioid epidemic began to claim the lives of many suffering from opioid addiction. He played an active role in the first clinical team in Ohio to develop medication-assisted treatment protocols for using Buprenorphine, which saved innumerable lives. He returned to Catholic Charities in 2011 to lead the clinical teams in Wayne, Ashland, and Medina county locations. In 2014, Fredy became director and lead the operations in Ashland and Wayne counties. His efforts led to a significant advancement of our mission as evidenced by the operational growth and impact of services.
Fredy holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary/Ashland University; and earned the highest distinctions in clinical licensure as licensed professional clinical counselor supervisor (LPCC-S) and licensed independent chemical dependency counselor (LICDC). Fredy was certified 2014 by OhioMHAS in Trauma Informed Care. He is a 2018 graduate of the Catholic Charities O’Grady Leadership Institute, Leadership Cleveland Alumni class of 2021 and earned an Executive Certificate in Non Profit Management from San Diego University (2024).
