7911 Detroit AvenueParish-Based Ministries work to provide accessibility in the Church to persons with disabilities and their family members so that they may participate fully in all aspects of parish life.
This ministry provides monthly gatherings that include a liturgy, meal and a presentation.
Some of the other events that take place throughout the year include retreats, a pilgrimage to Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine in Euclid, and our annual Blind Autumn Dance and community Christmas party. In addition, the Catholic Blind Association hosts meetings at St. Augustine Church to plan programs and services to develop ways to involve individuals who are blind within the community and the Church.
Audio description is provided at all special liturgical celebrations at St. Augustine Church and the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist and upon request.
