Community Health Worker Certification Training | Winter Session

Catholic Charities Job & Career Training is pleased to present our Ohio Board of Nursing Certified program. This program is appropriate for anyone interested in entry-level jobs in the healthcare field. The 2021 session begins on November 9, 2021, and the application deadline is October 29, 2021. The cost of the 12-week program is $1,500 and limited scholarships are available. Please register online for the information session on October 20, 2021.

In partnership with the Institute of Community Health, we have developed an accessible, comprehensive training program that incorporates adult learning methods and meets the needs of diverse learners.

Community health workers provide an important link to improve the health and well-being of individuals in their own neighborhood. They are members of the communities they serve and are front line public health workers. They are essential to improving quality of care and breaking down cultural barriers to treatment.

The winter training session begins on November 9, 2021 and ends January 25, 2022.

Program Criteria

This 12-week program is open to applicants who have a high school diploma or equivalent AND a desire to serve others in their community. Students are required to complete 100 classroom hours and 130 practicum hours to graduate from this program.

Program Cost

This program is free for individuals whose income at or below 200% poverty, and/or receive FCDJFS Benefits (Food Assistance, Medicaid, Child Care, Ohio Works First).
